Abdulrazak Nuhu Bature, known publicly as Abdulrazak (Abdurrazaq) Nuhu Zaki or 'Nuhu Zaki', is the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Bauchi Central Senatorial District in the Senate election of 16 January 2027 (INEC final list, 12 September 2026). INEC lists him as 58, with the First School Leaving Certificate and the Senior School Certificate as his declared qualifications. He is from Warji LGA. He represented Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives on the PDP from 2011 to 2015, between Abdul Ningi (1999-2011) and Salisu Zakari Ningi (2015-2019); the term dates used are the 7th and 8th Assembly inaugurations. An ACN petition against his 2011 election was dismissed by the Bauchi tribunal on 28 October 2011. In 2012 the University of Jos said he was never its student and disowned his claimed Advanced Diploma in Public Administration; constituents petitioned the Speaker and police invited him. He dismissed the campaign ('They took me to court several times and failed'), and no charge or finding was reported. He won the PDP ticket for Ningi/Warji in December 2014, but the APC took every National Assembly seat in Bauchi in March 2015. He stayed in the PDP (a 'former PDP member of the House' in 2016) and in September 2018 sought the PDP's Bauchi Central Senate ticket, which went to Senator Isa Hamma Misau. Under Governor Bala Mohammed he was Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs from September 2019 (re-appointed after the June 2021 cabinet dissolution, serving into 2023) and Commissioner for Water Resources from 14 August 2023 until he resigned, effective 31 March 2026, to run for the Senate. In 2021 he petitioned the police over a cleric's sermon accusing him and the governor of plotting against the cleric's life, an allegation he called baseless. After the governor moved from the PDP to the APM on 2 May 2026, the APM affirmed him as its Bauchi Central candidate by consensus on 28 May 2026.
