By his own account he served as a priest of the Anglican Diocese of Gwagwalada, Abuja (Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion), and retired from active ministry to enter politics. He declared for the Anambra Central seat in early April 2026 on the LP platform and was its sole aspirant at the party's Option A4 primary, whose results were announced on 4 June 2026. No earlier public office or candidacy was found.
