INEC lists him as 58, with a First School Leaving Certificate and a WAEC certificate. He is from Ihechiowa in Arochukwu LGA. A long-serving party officer, he was PDP vice chairman for Abia North (cited in March 2021) and acting state publicity secretary before being elected Abia PDP state chairman on 3 November 2024 with 1,264 votes against Olugu Kalu's 395 (Daily Post). As chairman he announced the result of the 24 May 2026 governorship primary won by Anosike, and on 17 May 2026 he won the party's House of Representatives ticket for Arochukwu/Ohafia in a consensus and affirmation primary; what became of that ticket was not found. Anosike presented him as his running mate at a party stakeholders' meeting in Umuahia reported on 2 August 2026, saying he had weighed his administrative competence, his commitment to the party and the strategic value of an Abia North nomination. He remained state chairman as deputy governorship candidate (ThisDay, 1 October 2026). No court case involving him was found.
