Aliyu Tijjani Mohammed (press: Tijjani Mohammed Aliyu) is the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) deputy governorship candidate in Bauchi State, running mate to Senator Shehu Buba Umar, for the election of 6 February 2027 (INEC final list, 10 October 2026). INEC lists him as a 55-year-old man declaring a First School Leaving Certificate, SSCE, a BSc in Business Administration and an MBA. He represented Azare/Madangala constituency (Katagum LGA) in the Bauchi State House of Assembly on the APC platform, winning the seat in the 2019 election and serving as the Assembly's Majority Leader (so described in April 2022, when he denied rumours that he would leave the APC for the PDP). The PRP ticket's media statement dates his service to 2015-2023 and describes him as a former banker; both points rest on that statement alone. Buba named him as running mate on 24 July 2026.
