Ibekwe Kenrry Chimezie Olekanma is the National Rescue Movement (NRM) candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District in the Senate election of 16 January 2027 (INEC final list, 12 September 2026). INEC lists him as a 57-year-old man whose declared qualifications are the Primary School Leaving Certificate, the Senior Secondary Certificate and a Higher National Diploma. He also stood for the same seat on the NRM ticket in the 25 February 2023 election, polling 587 votes (reported by Voice of Nigeria as "Kenry Ibekwe"); Labour Party candidate Darlington Nwokocha was declared the winner. Details of his 2026 NRM primary and his career were not found in public sources as of October 2026.
