Patty Etete Inemeh, known in the press as Patty Etete (INEC lists him as INEMEH PATTY ETETE; older reports spell the surname Ineme), is the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District in the Senate election of 16 January 2027 (INEC final list, 12 September 2026), where the incumbent is Senate President Godswill Akpabio (APC). INEC lists him as a 55-year-old man whose declared qualifications are the First School Leaving Certificate, the Senior School Certificate and a Master of Science degree. He was elected in 2007 on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform and represented Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara Federal Constituency, Akpabio's home constituency, in the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011. He did not return: at the PDP primaries reported on 8 January 2011 he pulled out and Saviour Udoh was nominated unopposed. In September 2013 he was the Akwa Ibom coordinator of Arise Nigeria, a group campaigning for President Goodluck Jonathan's re-election and for Akpabio's move to the Senate in 2015. By September 2016 he was in the All Progressives Congress (APC), signing statements of the party's elders' forum in his federal constituency; in December 2017 he was named to the governing board of the National Council for Arts and Culture. He was secretary of the APC Forum of Ex-Legislators (July 2022), led an Akwa Ibom coalition of APC support groups for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket (November 2022) and chaired the board of trustees of the Good Governance Support Group that lobbied senators-elect to elect Akpabio Senate President in June 2023. He then worked in Akpabio's office, eventually as a senior legislative aide, and in 2025 coordinated the proposed Akwa Ibom ChopKulture (Bantu Ekpang Kukwo) food-tourism festival. In a letter dated 27 February 2026 he resigned from Akpabio's office, alleging years of humiliation, denial of access and physical assaults by fellow aides; Akpabio's media adviser Eseme Eyiboh said he was unaware of the resignation and described the office as well run. No investigation of the allegations has been reported. He resigned from the APC in a letter dated 14 March 2026, moved to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and on 4 May 2026 joined the NDC to contest the Akwa Ibom North-West Senate seat. The NDC set its National Assembly primaries for 29 May 2026; the result of his primary was not found in public sources as of October 2026.

Aide to Senate President Godswill Akpabio from the start of the 10th Senate (start year inferred from Akpabio's media adviser Eseme Eyiboh describing about three years as colleagues in the office, March 2026). By his own account he was invited into Akpabio's 'first eleven' for his work on the 2023 senatorial election and the Senate-presidency contest, was announced as a special assistant but made to serve as senior legislative aide (which he called demeaning), coordinated a symposium on the creative economy for the Senate President's legislative agenda, and mobilised over 240 support groups. Resigned in a letter dated 27 February 2026 (a later Premium Times report says 26 February), alleging hostility, denial of access and physical assaults by fellow aides (see legal record); Eyiboh said he was unaware of the resignation and that the office was well run.
