Oyeghe Seprebofa Miederi (Seprebofa M. Oyeghe) is the National Rescue Movement (NRM) candidate for Bayelsa Central Senatorial District in the Senate election of 16 January 2027 (INEC final list, 12 September 2026). INEC lists him as a 35-year-old man whose declared qualifications are the First School Leaving Certificate, the West African Senior School Certificate and the LLB, LLM and PhD degrees. He is an Abuja-based legal practitioner who writes legal commentary (including a February 2020 analysis of the Supreme Court judgment on the Bayelsa governorship) and has appeared as defence counsel in rights cases: for the first to fourth defendants in the FCT Minister's 2024 suit against #EndBadGovernance protesters, and for activist Olamide Thomas, charged with cyberbullying, who was released on bail in January 2025. In the NRM he was named acting Deputy National Legal Adviser in January 2025, an office the party's emergency national convention ratified on 14 April 2025. Details of his 2026 NRM primary and the institutions of his degrees were not found as of October 2026.
