IMDb lists 16 acting credits from 2009 (Honest Deceiver and Honest Deceiver 2) and 2010 (Bent Arrows) to 2024, among them Who Killed Chief? (2017), Marital Bruise (2018), Least Expected, Venom, Wedding Saga and Crux (2019), Good Citizen (2020), Rebellion, Enigma and Silent Sound (2021) and A Woman's Plight (2024); she produced Wedding Saga and Crux (2019) and A Woman's Plight (2024, also executive producer), and was location manager on Crux and Venom. Press profiles also name The Revealing, Muqabala and The Innocent. 2009 is the earliest credit found, not a stated start. Two other aspirants, Ademola Joseph Onigbokun and Oluwadare Joseph Faduri, had sought the ticket; some reports (Punch, QED) say she "defeated" them, but no vote count was published. She is the NRM's first female presidential candidate. Her name is Esther Nkem Okereke; "Iken" in this record comes from a misprint in the August 2026 press lists.

INEC's final list of 12 September 2026 carries the ticket at SN 12 as "OKEREKE NKEM ESTHER" (43, female; declared qualifications FSLC, SSCE, BSc, MSc, PhD) with "SULAIMAN NASIR MUHAMMED" (35, male; FSLC, SSCE) as vice-presidential candidate; she is one of two women among the 18 presidential candidates. When INEC displayed candidates' particulars on 1 August 2026, press lists (Punch, Legit, The Nation) printed her as "Okereke Iken Esther" and the NRM running mate as "Samuel Magdalene Gali"; no report of a withdrawal or substitution was found, so whether Gali was replaced before the 22 August 2026 substitution deadline or the August lists were wrong is not established. The final list governs. She inaugurated the NRM Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja on 29 September 2026.
