Uko Ndukwe Nkole (INEC: Nkole Uko Ndukwe) is the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Abia North in the Senate election of 16 January 2027 (INEC final list, 12 September 2026). He is from Ozu Abam in Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State. He represented Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency in the House of Representatives for two terms, 2015-2023 (8th and 9th Assemblies), elected on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform on 28 March 2015 and re-elected on 23 February 2019. The 2015 APGA runner-up, Nnamdi Iro Oji, lost his election petition and appeal against him; Oji's complaint against the Court of Appeal panel later led the National Judicial Council to recommend the retirement of Justice Mohammed Tsamiya (2016) and the ICPC to arrest the retired judge over an alleged N200m bribe demand (2017) - Nkole was not accused of wrongdoing. In July 2020 PDP stakeholders in Arochukwu accused him of anti-party activity and threatened a recall, which he dismissed.
In the PDP Abia North senatorial primary of 24 May 2022 he scored 29 votes to former senator Mao Ohuabunwa's 135; he called the exercise inconclusive and alleged that election materials had been hijacked. Out of office from June 2023, he remained a PDP stakeholder in Abia North into 2025, then registered with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on 16 March 2026 and chaired its Legislators' Forum in April 2026. He moved to the NDC and, by his own account, won its Abia North primary on 29 May 2026; the Abia NDC presented him as its candidate on 19 August 2026. He faces the incumbent, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (APC), and David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex (LP).
