Patrick Nworu Mgbebu (INEC prints MGBEBU PATRICK NWORU) is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate in Ebonyi State, running mate to Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, for the election of 6 February 2027 (INEC final list, 10 October 2026). INEC lists him as a 62-year-old man whose declared qualifications are the First School Leaving Certificate, the Senior School Certificate and a B.Sc.; the press styles him Barrister. Tribune describes him as a former member of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly and the immediate past representative of Ebonyi State on the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC). President Muhammadu Buhari nominated him as the Ebonyi federal commissioner of the RMAFC on 8 February 2019; the Senate confirmed the nominees in May 2019 and the commissioners were sworn in on 27 June 2019. The tenure of the commission's twenty outgoing members ended in late June 2024. The constituency, party and years of his Assembly service were not found. Odii picked him as running mate after consultations with party stakeholders; the exact date was not found, but it was public by 21 September 2026.
