Lawan Wadaji Umar is the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) deputy governorship candidate in Gombe State, running mate to Lemela Lenos Silas, for the election of 6 February 2027 (INEC final list, 10 October 2026). INEC lists him as a 50-year-old man who declared the First School Leaving Certificate and the Senior School Certificate and names Federal Polytechnic Gboko among his qualifications. APM named him as running mate when it unveiled its Gombe ticket on 16-17 August 2026 (Aminiya, Daily Trust), printing his name as "Wadaji Umar Lawan". According to the party's own statement, as reported there, he is from Jekadafari Ward in Gombe Local Government Area, previously worked with HarvestPlus (an initiative under the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Ibadan) and served as a Special Assistant to the Gombe State Governor before moving into full-time political and youth mobilisation. Those details come only from that party statement and carry no dates or role titles.
