Jude Udeachara is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Abia North Senatorial District in the Senate election of 16 January 2027 (INEC final list, 12 September 2026). INEC lists him as a 62-year-old man with the First School Leaving Certificate, GCE, a BSc and an MSc. His country home is at Amaokwe, Uturu, in Isuikwuato Local Government Area. In 2018 he was an aide on Trade and Commerce to Abia Governor Okezie Ikpeazu (described as Special Adviser in April 2018 and Special Assistant in June 2018). In June 2018 he declared for the PDP ticket for the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi seat in the House of Representatives. At the election of 23 February 2019 he polled 10,064 votes to Nkeiruka Onyejiocha's (APC) 14,712. His petition was dismissed by the election tribunal on 3 September 2019, with N200,000 costs, and his appeal was dismissed by the Court of Appeal in Owerri, as reported on 4 November 2019. Governor Ikpeazu named a Hon. Jude Udeachara to the Abia State University visitation panel in November 2020, and a Jude Udeachara sat on the state team for the reaccreditation of Abia State Polytechnic in July 2022. By February 2026 he was the Abia PDP State Publicity Secretary. He won the party's Abia North senatorial primary with 39,740 votes in a consensus exercise whose results were reported on 20 May 2026. His main opponents in 2027 include the incumbent, Orji Uzor Kalu (APC).
