Enyinna Kasarachi Michael, styled Dr Michael Enyinna Kasarachi in business and party reports, is the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Abia South Senatorial District in the Senate election of 16 January 2027 (INEC final list, 12 September 2026). INEC lists him as a 48-year-old man and names the schools he declared: Ogwe Town School, Ogwe Camp Secondary School and the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. His company's profile says he began his career in 2001 as a business development executive at British American Tobacco, headed fixed income investment at Adeco Finance from 2004 to March 2008, and in 2008 founded Fundvine, an investment and stockbroking group (Fundvine Holdings; Fundvine Capital and Securities Ltd) of which he is executive chairman and group managing director. It credits him with a BSc from Winneba and an MSc from the University of Salford, and an honorary doctorate, the source of the 'Dr' title. Daily Trust reported him among the 2023 Africa CEO Merit Award recipients as chairman of Fundvine Holding. In the 2023 general election he was the vice-presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), running mate to Malik Ado-Ibrahim; INEC's final list of 20 September 2022 gives his age as 44, and the YPP ticket polled 60,600 votes on 25 February 2023. That he is the same man rests on the matching names, INEC's ages four years apart and the Winneba degree; no source names both candidacies. When he left the YPP and joined the NDC, and the details of his 2026 NDC primary, were not found as of October 2026.

No held-office record is linked. Career text or election participation does not replace a documented term.

Court & accountability records

No publishable record is linked here. This is a coverage gap, not a clean bill of health.

Spending & project delivery

This profile does not yet link expenditure or completed projects to documented responsibility. Approval alone does not establish delivery.

How sources and review work

A reviewed source may establish that an allegation was made; it does not establish guilt. Open each record’s sources to read its evidence. Historical reporting may not establish a case’s current status.
