Nachamada Emmanuel Musa, known in the press as Dr Emmanuel N. Musa, is the Labour Party (LP) candidate for Adamawa Central Senatorial District in the Senate election of 16 January 2027 (INEC final list, 12 September 2026). INEC lists him as a 36-year-old man whose declared qualifications are the First School Leaving Certificate and the Senior School Certificate. He was the sole aspirant at the LP primary and candidate-affirmation exercise in Yola on 31 May 2026 and was affirmed by voice vote.
From Kala'a in Hong Local Government Area, he is a businessman and the founder and president of the Emnamu Foundation, whose reported work since at least 2023 includes scholarships, cash grants to entrepreneurs, payment of hospital bills, relief to displaced communities and, around his December birthday, paying the fines of prison inmates (100 across ten correctional centres in December 2025). The Nigeria Immigration Service's Adamawa command gave him an award of service (reported January 2023), Integrated Reading Culture named him Humanitarian of the Year 2024, and in 2025 the West African Youth Congress made him chairman of its advisory board. He uses the title 'Dr'; a January 2021 report said Prowess University (Delaware, USA) had nominated him for an honorary doctorate, and he has declared no degree to INEC.
On 14 April 2025 his chief of staff announced that he would seek the Adamawa governorship in 2027, with the party still undecided. By January 2026 he was an APC governorship hopeful in Adamawa (Sahara Reporters had reported in July 2025 that he moved from the PDP to the APC after April 2025). By a letter of 18 April 2026 to his Bangshika ward chairman he withdrew from APC activities in the state and Hong LGA, citing exclusion from the party congresses, and TGNews reported on 29 April 2026 that he had joined the PDP while backing President Tinubu's re-election (no second outlet found). He emerged as the LP's Adamawa Central senate candidate at the end of May 2026.
On 4 July 2025 a Chief Magistrate's Court in Yola remanded him and three others on a holding charge of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide over the April 2025 killing of Thomas Godwin Zamfara, a PDP youth leader in Hong; the prosecution alleged that he sponsored the attack. No plea was taken and the case was adjourned for the Director of Public Prosecutions' advice. TGNews and Sahara Reporters, citing unnamed sources, reported that he left custody the same evening after police prosecutors moved to withdraw the charge for further investigation. He denies any involvement through his lawyer. No later DPP advice, trial, ruling or discharge was found in public sources as of October 2026, and he has not been convicted.

A useful profile shows the limits of its evidence as clearly as the evidence itself.
No held-office record is linked. Career text or election participation does not replace a documented term.

How sources and review work
A reviewed source may establish that an allegation was made; it does not establish guilt. Open each record’s sources to read its evidence. Historical reporting may not establish a case’s current status.
Suggestions from the community, awaiting review. These are not verified profile facts. Votes help reviewers assess suggestions; they do not establish whether a claim is true.
