Agada Peter Ada

Architect and founder/chief executive of Cyrus Projects and Development Company Limited, a Nigerian architecture and infrastructure-development firm; by his own account "Cyrus" was registered in 2003. As project architect and managing director he led its social-housing work, including the 10,000-unit Unity Village estate at Km 26 on the Abuja-Keffi Road, built in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, where he received the International Co-operative Alliance's Africa Regional Director during her visit of 27-31 May 2013. He is also described as leading multi-sectoral infrastructure projects and as working in acoustic and auditorium design.

Director of the Support Groups Council in the Big Tent Obi-Datti Independent Campaign Council, the coalition campaign body chaired by Pat Utomi for the Labour Party's 2023 presidential ticket, inaugurated in Lagos around 9 December 2022. He describes the role as chairing the party's support-groups council from 2020 to 2023 and coordinating over 500 groups; 2022 is the documented start.

Appointed Director of Finance and Fundraising, Resource Mobilisation & Accountability of the Obidient Movement (Peter Obi's support movement) in a statement of Monday 24 February 2025 by National Coordinator Dr Yunusa Tanko. He resigned about 15 March 2026 and announced it in Abuja on Wednesday 18 March 2026, citing lack of structure; Tanko said he had received no letter. One outlet calls him the movement's former National Treasurer.

Aspirant for the Labour Party (LP) 2027 presidential ticket. He declared on Friday 1 May 2026 at the Och'Idoma palace in Benue State. By his own account he was screened on 6 May 2026, after the LP national convention in Umuahia of 28 April 2026 that he says he helped fund; the press reports a screening on Friday 22 May 2026 by a committee chaired by National Chairman Nenadi Usman. The LP had zoned its ticket to the South, and on 28 May 2026 it wrote to disqualify him as a Middle Belt (North-Central) aspirant. The primary held on Saturday 30 May 2026 (a Vanguard preview and his own letter point to 29 May); the LP candidate on INEC's final list is Sunday Chibuzo Okereke. He and his campaign council say he paid N150m (N50m for forms, N100m towards the convention); see the legal record.

INEC final list of candidates (Presidential), published 2026-09-12 — SN 17; INEC name: AGADA PETER ADA; age 54; male; qualification (as declared to INEC): WAEC BSc, & MBA Won the YPP Special Presidential Substitution Primary of Friday 21 August 2026 (voting reported as online; result announced in Abuja by returning officer and National Secretary Vidiyeno H. Bamaiyi): 71 of 83 votes, 12 against; aspirant Julius Filani withdrew before the vote, and Patience Ndidi Key was named running mate. The substitution followed the withdrawal of the party's original candidate, Anita Zugwai-Chukwu, adopted at the YPP national convention of 30 May 2026 and shown on INEC's display of 1 August 2026 with the party spokesman Egbeola Olawale Mertins as placeholder running mate; she withdrew by a letter dated 12 August 2026, which the party says was voluntary and prompted by family security concerns. No rival YPP faction or court challenge was found.

Managing director and chief executive of Cyrus Acoustics, an acoustic and auditorium design practice (also described in May 2026 as Principal of Cyrus Acoustics Sound C4i & Co. Limited), and founder-chairman of Cyrus Group Nigeria, which his campaign calls the world's largest acoustics organisation (unverified). Credited with acoustic work including the Latter Rain Assembly Citadel in Lagos (from 2016), the Dunamis Glory Dome and the Salvation Ministries auditorium. Its "Tiller Cyrus" arm developed a command-and-control communications concept for the armed forces (Aso Villa Demo Day finalist, 2016). Start year not found.
