Abba John Abba is the African Democratic Congress (ADC) deputy governorship candidate in Benue State, running mate to Herman Hembe, for the election of 6 February 2027 (INEC final list, 10 October 2026). Daily Trust describes him as a lawyer, and INEC lists him as a 47-year-old man whose declared qualifications are the First School Leaving Certificate, the Senior School Certificate, an LL.B and the Barrister at Law (BL) qualification. The Benue ADC unveiled him in Makurdi on 6 August 2026 after a party committee process; Hembe said the choice was endorsed by the national leadership led by David Mark. His earlier career, any earlier public office and his institutions were not found in public sources as of October 2026 (the news reports used 'John Abba' and 'Abba John Abba' for the same candidate).
