The places, education and experiences behind this candidate.

Tombra Jennifer Mohammed (née Waritimi; INEC lists her as Mohammed Tombra J.) is the Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate for Bayelsa West Senatorial District in the Senate election of 16 January 2027 (INEC final list, 12 September 2026). INEC gives her age as 60 and her declared qualifications as the First School Leaving Certificate, the WASSCE and a B.Ed in Biology. She comes from Aleibiri in Ekeremor Local Government Area. She was first the YPP candidate for the same seat at the 25 February 2023 election, which Seriake Dickson retained; her vote count was not found. In a January 2023 interview she described a career as a house painter and interior decorator, which she gave up at about 40 for marketing, and said she had stayed out of partisan politics while her husband, a military officer, served. Launching her 2027 bid in June 2026 she named job creation and support for women in politics as her priorities. Details of her 2026 YPP primary were not found as of October 2026.
