Danjuma Adamu Dabo (printed surname-first by INEC as DABO DANJUMA ADAMU) is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Bauchi South Senatorial District in the Senate election of 16 January 2027 (INEC final list, 12 September 2026). INEC lists him as a 66-year-old man whose declared qualifications are the Primary School Leaving Certificate, the West African School Certificate and a Higher National Diploma (HND). For years an All Progressives Congress (APC) figure in Bauchi, he twice sought the party's Bauchi South Senate ticket in 2018. In the APC primary for the by-election that followed the death of Senator Ali Wakili (17 March 2018) he scored 776 votes to Lawal Yahaya Gumau's 847 (Daily Trust, 26 July 2018). Gumau also won the APC primary held in early October 2018 for the 2019 election; Dabo's campaign said he had been short-changed and asked the party's national leadership to intervene (Daily Times, 10 October 2018). Daily Trust described him in December 2021 as a former banker and the proprietor of a private school in Bauchi. ThisDay (21 May 2026) reports that he is a former executive director at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), a former national implementation adviser on the World Bank-funded BESDA basic-education programme under the Universal Basic Education Commission, and the founder of the Danjuma Dabo Foundation, which offers free education to indigent students and orphans in Bauchi; the years of these roles were not found. He left the APC for the PDP shortly before the 2026 primaries and was affirmed by consensus as the PDP's Bauchi South candidate in the primary conducted on 20 May 2026 (Nigerian Tribune, ThisDay, 21 May 2026).
