Akpan Jeremiah Udoh is the Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State for the election of 6 February 2027 (INEC final list, 10 October 2026), with Afahameh Effiong Okon as his running mate. INEC lists him as a 48-year-old man whose declared qualifications are the First School Leaving Certificate, the Senior School Certificate and a BSc. Press reports name the party's candidate as Jeremiah Akpan (styled Obong): Blueprint reported on 29 May 2026 that the DLA, which it described as a new party, elected him its consensus governorship candidate at an affirmation by members in Uyo monitored by INEC officials, rather than through a contested primary. His career, schools and any earlier public office were not found in public sources as of October 2026.
