Umoh Emem is the Action Peoples Party (APP) governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State for the election of 6 February 2027 (INEC final list, 10 October 2026), with Nene Okon Ekpo as her running mate. INEC lists her as a 36-year-old woman whose declared qualifications are the First School Leaving Certificate, the Senior School Certificate and a BSc. She is one of five women governorship candidates in the state (The Nation, 12 October 2026) and one of the governorship candidates aged 35 to 39 on the list (The Eagle Online, 12 October 2026).
