Leo Onyekwere is the National Democratic Party (NDP) governorship candidate in Abia State for the election of 6 February 2027 (INEC final list, 10 October 2026), with Uchenna Oleh as his running mate. INEC lists him as a 61-year-old man whose declared qualifications are the First School Leaving Certificate and the Senior School Certificate. When INEC displayed the governorship candidates' particulars in Umuahia (reported by Vanguard on 2 September 2026), the only NDP name given for Abia was Uchenna Oleh. Details of the 2026 NDP primary, his career and any earlier public office were not found in public sources as of October 2026.
