Bello Isah Ambarura (INEC: Isah Bello Ambarura; the database name is Bello Ambarura Isah) is the African Democratic Congress (ADC) deputy governorship candidate in Sokoto State, running mate to Manir Muhammad Dan'iya, for the election of 6 February 2027 (INEC final list, 10 October 2026). He is the member of the House of Representatives for Gwadabawa/Illela Federal Constituency, elected on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform in the 25 February 2023 election after a 15 April 2023 supplementary poll, and sitting since 13 June 2023. Before that he was Commissioner for Commerce, Industries, Trade and Investment in Governor Aminu Tambuwal's cabinet: sworn in shortly before 5 February 2018 and out when the cabinet was dissolved on 4 July 2018. He was elected to the Sokoto State House of Assembly for Illela in 2019 on the APC ticket and sat in the ninth Assembly (inaugurated 11 June 2019) until moving to the National Assembly; the ADC says he rose through the state civil service to Permanent Secretary and was the Assembly's Majority Leader, claims that rest on its own statement. A longtime APC member by one report, he defected to the ADC in April 2026: The Northern Star reported it on 21 April 2026 and his letter was read on the floor of the House, reported on 29 April 2026. The ADC announced him as Dan'iya's running mate in a statement of 20 July 2026.
