INEC lists him as a 39-year-old man whose declared qualifications are the First School Leaving Certificate and NCE/WASSCE. TG News reported that the PDP's Adamawa South senatorial primary, held in Numan on 20 May 2026, affirmed "Chief Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza", the sole aspirant, as the party's candidate by acclamation; the INEC list does not carry the name Lamza.
